Patrick Leonard, suspectat de joc incorect la Main Eventul PokerStars Championship [VIDEO]

Cum e sa joci linistit, pe bubble-ul unui mare turneu, crezand ca nimeni nu te baga in seama si deodata sa-ti explodeze telefonul de notificari in care este vorba de faptul ca ai trisat la poker?

Asta a patit Patrick Leonard, ambasador al camerei partypoker, pe cand juca Main Eventul PokerStars Championship Barcelona. Motivul? O secventa din streamul live ce se transmitea in direct, in care el, aflandu-se la masa filmata, folosise o metoda neortodoxa de a stoarce informatii de la un oponent, Luigi Shehadeh, care facuse un bet pe river. In timp ce Leonard se gandea daca sa plateasca sau nu, i-a spus lui Shehadeh "You got it" (aproximativ "E potul tau"), semnaland astfel verbal ca renunta la mana si foldeaza, insa fara sa faca gestul de-a folda cartile, in speranta ca va stoarce de la Shehadeh o informatie in plus. Iata inregistrarea:

Clipul si acuzatiile i-au atras atentia luI Daniel Negreanu care a pus imediat un poll pe Twitter: "Credeti ca a trisat Patrick Leonard in main eventul de la Barcelona?"

Leonard n-a fost foarte incantat de popularizarea fazei: "Pe bune Daniel? N-ai gasit un sondaj mai bun pe ziua de azi?"

Cei doi s-au si intalnit in liftul hotelului si au discutat fata in fata despre aceasta chestiune:

Leonard s-a aparat cat a putut pe forumuri si pe Twitter, si chiar a inregistrat un raspuns video pe care l-a pus pe Youtube.

El spune ca pur si simplu incerca sa obtina informatii de la oponent, asa cum se face in pokerul live, insa acum regreta ca a incercat asta. "In mintea mea, ma simteam complet inocent. Insa acum ca ma gandesc, cred ca mi-am ales gresit cuvintele spunand 'You got it', caci asta ar putea insemna ca am de gand sa foldez - si chiar aveam de gand sa foldez. N-am sa mai folosesc expresia asta in viitor."
