Doft Scoops Kostritsyn

[user139916] • Nivel 8

Roman Verenko raised from under the gun and Alexander Kostritsyn three-bet from the next seat over. Elie Doft (who took sixth place last year in this event) called from the big blind, Verenko called, and the flop came down {7-Clubs}{6-Spades}{4-Hearts}.

Action was checked to Kostritsyn who bet. Doft raised, Verenko folded, and Kostritsyn reraised. A call from Doft landed the {A-Diamonds} turn, which he checked. Kostritsyn bet, but again was check-raised by Doft. Kostritsyn called and then called Doft's bet after the {J-Clubs} river.

Doft tabled {7-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{2-Spades} for a seven-high straight with the nut low, Kostritsyn mucked, and Doft scooped the pot.

Matching Boats

• Nivel 8

Alexander Kravchenko bet out on a {10-Hearts}{10-Spades}{9-Spades} flop. Eugene Katchalov and one other player called. The turn was the {k-Clubs}. Kravchenko bet again, and Katchalov raised. The other player folded and Katchalov called. The river was the {4-Diamonds}. Kravchenko checked, Katchalov bet, and then Kravchenko check-raised. Katchalov called, and the players revealed their hole cards:

Kravchenko: {10-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}
Katchalov: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{j-Spades}

The players both made tens full of kings and they split the pot with matching full houses.
