We just saw Jason Mercier play two pots, one which he won and one which he lost.
In the first, a player opened from middle position to 1,200. Mercier was next to act from the hijack seat and he reraised to 3,125. Action folded around the table and the original raiser called.
The flop came down and the player checked to Mercier. Mercier put out a continuation bet of 2,750. The player called. The turn was the and the player decided to lead out with a bet of 4,200. After thinking about it for a few seconds Mercier folded and the player picked up the pot.
On the second hand Mercier opened from middle position to 1,200. He only picked up a call from the big blind. The flop came out and the big blind checked. Mercier started counting out chips, but before he could even put a bet in the pot, the big blind folded.
Mercier has been having an up and down day, but he's now sitting below the starting stack and has a lot of work to do if he wants to make it deep in the Main Event.
