Raymer Accumulating

Nivel 19 : 6,000-12,000, 0 ante

With 57,000 already in the pot and the board showing {Q-Spades}{9-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} Greg Raymer led out for a bet from the small blind and was raised by the player in the big blind. A short stacked player had exactly enough to make the call and after tanking for over a minute put the last of his chips into the center of the table. Raymer announced a raise and the player in the big blind four bet it for an additional 9,000. Raymer called and the hands were turned over.

Raymer {K-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} for a straight
Player in big blind {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{2-Hearts} for the same straight and the nut low draw.
Short stack {A-}{2-}{X-}{X-} for the nut low draw.

The river was the {9-Spades} and Raymer and the player in the big blind chopped the pot and eliminated the short stacked player.

He started today with just shy of 25,000 in chips and has steadily been increasing his stack throughout the day. After dragging a recent pot, the native of Switzerland moved up to 365,000 which is one of the top stacks in the room.

Raymer Gets an Elimination

Nivel 19 : 6,000-12,000, 0 ante

After being down to 25,000 a bit ago, Greg Raymer is back to a healthy stack. In a recent pot, he four-bet the {4-Spades}{6-Hearts}{4-Hearts} flop against one live opponent with another all in. Raymer got his second opponent all in on the turn, but both played trips with an ace for high and neither filled up on the river. The first all-in player showed {a-}{3-}{5-}{x-} before mucking, and we're down to 36.
